Police Department

If your vehicle was impounded, you must obtain a release from the Police Department, in person, before you can retrieve your vehicle from the tow company. Impounded vehicles can be released between the hours of 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 5pm Monday-Friday. You must contact the tow company directly to retrieve your proof of ownership and/or proof of insurance if they are in the vehicle at the time that it was impounded.
We need current proof of insurance in paper format to release your vehicle. You or your insurance company may fax or email the proof of insurance directly to the Records Department via fax (541) 459-4953 or email at policerecords@ci.sutherlin.or.us
