AVIVA HEALTH WILL BE OFFERING THE MODERNA COVID VACCINE AT THE SUTHERLIN COMMUNITY CENTER FOR ANYONE AGES 18 AND UP. Tuesday, April 6th, Thursday, April 8th, Tuesday, May 4th and Thursday, May 6th from 8 a.m. to 11:30 and 1:00 p.m.to 4:00 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome or call 541-672-9596 to schedule an appointment.
Council will be considering the first reading of two separate ordinances at the April 12th Council meeting. Click here for the Notice of Enactment and the Draft Ordinance amending Sutherlin Municipal Chapters 9.20 and 12.36 - Overnight Camping Regulations. This ordinance has an emergency clause, therefore, if passed by unanimous vote, will be enacted the following day. The second ordinance council will be considering is the proposed repeal and replacement of Chapter 1.08 of the Sutherlin Municipal Code regarding Initiative and Referendum processes. The City of Sutherlin is looking for volunteers!! The Budget Committee has 2 vacancies to fill! There is 1 seat with a term ending on December 31, 2022 and the other seat has a term ending on December 31, 2021. A series of meetings (2-3) are scheduled each spring to review and approve the budget document that will be presented the Sutherlin City Council for adoption. The Sutherlin-Oakland Emergency Food Pantry is now open and they have a good supply of food for those in need. Operating hours are Mondays & Wednesdays from 9:00-11:00am. The pantry is located at 183 E First Avenue in Sutherlin. For inquiries please call (541) 459-4082.
