Municipal Court


UPDATE:  Municipal Court has been canceled for the months of April and May.  The next tentative court date is June 4, 2020.
IN A CONTINUING EFFORT TO LIMIT THE SPREAD OF THE COVID-19 VIRUS, MUNICIPAL COURT HAS CANCELED ALL TRAFFIC AND CRIMINAL COURT DATES EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. 

If you have a court date already scheduled prior to the above date, please call 541-459-4636 or email the court: court@ci.sutherlin.or.us, before your court date to discuss your citation and options.   The court hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday through Friday.

The Court Clerk's office is located in the Police Department at 126 E Central Ave, office hours are  9AM-5PM. To contact the Court Clerk please call 541-459-4636, email at court@ci.sutherlin.or.us or Fax 541-459-4953. The Courtroom located at 175 E. Everett Avenue located behind the Police Department at Civic Auditorium building.  

2020 Court dates are as follows at 5:00pm:
  • January 9th & 23rd
  • February 13th & 27th
  • March 12th (court will only be held once in March)
  •  April 9th & April 23rd(Cancelled)
  • May 7th & May 21st (Cancelled)
  • June 4th, 11th & 25th
  • July 9th & 23rd
  • August 13th & 27th
  • September 10th & 24th
  • October 8th & 22nd
  • November 5th & 19th
  • December 3rd & 17th
Court Sessions & Info:
For Those scheduled to meet with their court appointed attorney,  it is normally the second Thursday of the month (subject to change). Court begins at 10am and runs until the judge releases you.   The Honorable Andrew D. Johnson presiding.

PLEASE NOTE: NO CELL PHONES ARE ALLOWED IN COURTROOM, AS WELL AS KNIVES OR OTHER WEAPONS. IF DISCOVERED THEY WILL BE CONFISCATED. You are scanned with a detector prior to entering the courtroom. NO FOOD OR DRINKS.
