Mayor Todd McKnight

Todd was born and raised in Sutherlin.  He started with City Council in 2013 and us currently serving his third term as City Mayor.  He's served as a City Councilor, served on the Planning Commission, Budget Committee, Sutherlin Water Control Board, Transportation Committee and the Transient Room Tax/Tourism Committee.  Todd wants to serve his community and create an atmosphere of teamwork between City Council, Staff and Citizens.  He also likes to see all the improvements take place and wants to make Sutherlin a place we are all proud to call home.  Todd loves that Sutherlin is his hometown and the people are what makes this a great community.  
He currently works for the State DOT as an Enforcement Officer/State Weighmaster Officer.  Todd is married with two children.  Both he and his wife are very involved with their children's activities - sports, 4-H and raising animals.  They enjoy camping, outdoor activities and spending time with family.

Council President Tom Boggs

Tom is a native Oregonian and has lived in Sutherlin since 1994.  He retired in 2009 as Police Chief from the Sutherlin Police Department.  Tom was elected to Council in 2011 and is the current Council President.

Councilor Forrest Stone

Forrest is a native of Douglas County and has lived in Sutherlin for 31 years.  He has worked as a General Contractor for the last 42 years.  Forrest is currently serving his third term on Sutherlin City Council.  He has served on the Budget Committee for the last eight years and has previously held the titles of Council President and Budget Committee Chair.

Michelle grew up in Northern California where she met her husband of 32 years, Larry.  They moved to Sutherlin nine years ago when he retired.  While in California, Michelle was a Deputy Sheriff/Police Officer for nine years and a 911 Public Safety Dispatch Supervior for 18 years.  She continued her career in the public sector by joining the State of Oregon six years ago.  
Prior to becoming a City Councilor, Michelle was on the city's Budget Committee and the Planning Commission.  She was on the committee that created Sutherlin's Mission Statement and the committee that helped form the Sutherlin Fire Department.  Michelle started as an appointed member to Council in 2018 and then was elected in December 2018.  "I enjoy being a part of our City.  I feel it's critical to be involved and help it mve forward in being properous and a great place to live."  In her spare time she enjoys watercolor painting.

Travis grew up in Roseburg, Oregon and has been living in Sutherlin with his wife for the last five years.  Travis was elected to Sutherlin Council in 2016 and he's looking forward to seeing all of the upgrades and improvements that'll be done in town.  In his free time he enjoys camping, riding in the dunes and racing.

Councilor Seth Vincent

Seth has spent most of his life in the Sutherlin/Oakland community and is a graduate of Oakland High School.  Along with City Council, he serves his community through church, Rotary, Scouts and other worthwhile projects.  He has spend his business career in the manufacturing industry.  Currently he is handling outside sales and product development and design for Great Northern Trailer Works.  He and his wife Amber, of 14 years, have four children.  They enjoy the outdoors, backpacking and spending time with family.
