How do I pay my bill online?
The City of Sutherlin will accept payments over the phone or you can pay online through Xpress Bill Pay, it's easy! You can also choose to set up your account so that your bill is automatically paid on a specific date each month! Just go to https://www.xpressbillpay.com/#/ to set up your account.
How do I start a service at my new address:
You can call City Hall at 541-459-2856 for any questions regarding your new account setup, they will provide options for that process. You can also set up an account through https://www.xpressbillpay.com/#/ and pay your deposit at the same time. The Utilitiy Department will receive an email informing them that there is a new application available for service.

How do I rent the Community Building?
Please call City Hall to confirm availability dates at 541-459-2856. For additional information regarding rates, user application, rules, etc., please click here! For pictures of the facility, click here!
Can I reserve the Pavilion at Central Park?
The use of the pavilion is on a "first come, first serve" basis. Therefore, you won't need to contact City Hall regarding it's use!
How do I find information about running for office for the next General Election?
The City will not be accepting candidate applications until June of 2022! Please visit our election web page for details and updated information regarding candidate profiles who will be running for office, requirements, terms, and much more!
How do I find out if there is a job opening available?
The City will post all job openings, job descriptions for that open position, a veteran's preferance form and details during that open recruitment. Click here to go straight to the job openings page!
Note: It is the city's policy not to accept applications during a non-recruitment period.
Do I need to register my business?
The City of Sutherlin requires any new business owner to register their business. There are no fees attached to the registration, you just need to contact our Community Development Department to start the process! The purpose of the registration is to provide contact & essential information for our public safety departments and for our Community Development Department to confirm zoning and any other requirements that may be needed for you to successfully open your business! Does the city provide garbage pickup service?
The city doesn't provide garbage pickup service, however that service is provided by Sutherlin Sanitary Service! Their office hours are from 8am to noon, for more information click here!
What are the operating hours for the (Oakland) landfill?
The operating hours are Thursday through Sunday from 9am to 5pm. For more information click here!
How do I get my street light fixed?
The City of Sutherlin doesn't do street light repairs however, you can contact Douglas Electric or Pacific Power. There is a tag located on the pole that provides a pole number and it will also identify if the pole belongs to either Douglas Electric or Pacific Power. We can add you to our monthly email list and send you the City News Magazine/Bulleting so you never miss out on the happenings in Sutherlin. You can also call City Hall at 541-459-2857 during business hours of 9-4 and ask for one of us.
We also have free copies in the lobby at City Hall.
